Welcome to SoulMelodica, a neoclassical band nestled in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland. Our journey began in 2023 when fate brought together three passionate musicians. Bruno's mesmerizing project with the Handpan had been a lifelong endeavour, but it wasn't until he crossed paths with the talented violinist, Ching, and the soulful guitarist, Giuseppe, that the magic truly began.
United by a shared vision, we formed SoulMelodica with a singular purpose: to foster connections between people and their deepest emotions through a genre that is both fresh and timeless. Every note we play is an original composition, crafted with care and infused with our collective spirit.
In our pieces, we feature a multitude of sounds that transcend boundaries, incorporating diverse instruments like the accordion and piano, all skilfully played by the three of us. With each performance, we invite you to embark on a transformative journey of the soul and mind, guided by the evocative melodies and harmonies that define our music.

Handpan
Hello to all our cherished supporters! I'm Bruno, originally from Italy, but for over a decade now, Edinburgh has been my beloved home. From the moment I set foot in Edinburgh, with its captivating architecture I feel in love with it.
When I discovered my passion for music, I knew I had found my true calling and that I wanted to create music that would reach others and their emotions. While I began my musical journey with the accordion at the age of 8, it was only later that I found my profound love for percussion. I became a drums and accordion tutor, and I had the privilege to share my passion with my students. Over the years, I honed my skills on the drums until I stumbled upon the Handpan—an instrument that resonated with my soul like none other. The Handpan, with its innovative sound and endless possibilities, opened a whole new realm of artistic expression for me.
Despite years spent composing melodies, it wasn't until I crossed paths with Ching and Giuseppe that my musical vision truly came to life. Together, we've crafted a repertoire that fills me with pride, knowing that our music has the power to evoke the deepest emotions within our listeners. I'm honoured to be the beating heart of this extraordinary trio.
Buongiorno! I'm Giuseppe, from the lively streets of Bellona, Italy. In 2014, drawn by desire to improve my English, I embarked on a journey to Edinburgh, where I discovered a profound love for the city's vibrant musical scenery and the variety of cultures that converge in its music.
My relationship with music began when I was a child, sparked by my curiosity to unravel the secrets of melody and harmony. The guitar, with its boundless potential for expression, became my instrument. Under the guidance of the esteemed Simone Palmieri, I studied this beloved instrument from the age of 14.
For over 7 years, I've had the privilege of sharing my passion as a guitar teacher, teaching the raw energy of Rock and Metal to adults while nurturing the emerging talents of younger students with acoustic guitar. Though I've always been drawn to the power of the electric guitar, it was when I met Bruno and Ching that a new chapter in my musical journey began.
From the moment I joined forces with Bruno and Ching, I was captivated by the idea of exploring more the acoustic guitar in fresh and innovative ways. I loved this project from day one, for me the melody of our three instruments combined creates music for the soul and I proud to be the “soul” in SoulMelodica.

Greetings, everyone! I'm Ching, a wanderer from the streets of Hong Kong who moved to picturesque Edinburgh back in 2017. While my studies led me to Edinburgh for a Degree in Computer Science, my heart has always belonged to the melodies of music.
My journey with the violin began at the age of 6, a serendipitous encounter sparked by my parents' encouragement to embrace the world of music. As we listened to various recordings, I was captivated by the heart-warming sound of the violin. Through diligent practice I honed my skills in Classical music, culminating in the achievement of a Grade 8 Diploma from ABRSM.
However, it was when fate led me to Bruno that my musical journey took an extraordinary turn. Recognizing the potential to fuse my Classical background with his innovative vision, I embraced the opportunity to become the melodic wings of SoulMelodica, breathing life into our shared dreams of crafting a new and magical sound.
